Though the metropolitan area of Chiang Mai has a population of more than a million, the historic centre has a laid-back atmosphere more akin to a provincial town than a capital city. Beyond the Old City there is vast green countryside and rainforests ideal for trekking and exploring the ethnic minority villages.

Chiang Mai & Doi Suthep

We will be mainly devoted to the walking tour of the old town with a stop at the old wall, the moat and a door of the old town. You will see the most beautiful temples of Chiang Mai: Wat Prah Singh temple, Wat Phan Tao temple, Wat Chedi Luang temple. Then you will stroll along small streets lined with traditional houses, where you will take rickshaw tour. After that, you will take a walking through the central market of Warorot. In the afternoon you will visit the Doi Suthep hill. To brighten up your evening, browse the Night Market for yourself.

Elephant Jungle Sanctuary

08:00 – 08:30 : Pick up from your hotel or accommodation 08:30 : Drive approximately 1.5 hours South of Chiang Mai through rolling hills, forest, and local farming areas. 10:30 : Arrive at the Sanctuary. Meet your guide and walk for 10-15 minutes through the Jungle to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Change into traditional Karen clothing. Enjoy an introductory lesson about elephant anatomy, history, and behavior. 11:00 : Meet the elephants. Feed, interact, and play with the elephants in a natural environment as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants. 12:00 : Enjoy a lunch of traditional Thai food and fresh fruit. 13:00 : Learn how to make herbal medicine balls, feed the Elephants and then walk with the elephants to the river. Bathe and brush the elephants. 14:00 : Join the elephants for a therapeutic mud spa. Swim in the river and take photos with the elephants. 15:00 : Change clothes and say good bye to the elephants 15:30 : Leave the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and drive approximately 1.5 hours to Chiang Mai. 17:00-17:30 : Drop off at your hotel.

Doi Inthanon National Park

This day will start with a transfer to Doi Inthanon National Park. It will take approximately 2 hours to the highest peak of Thailand – Doi Inthanon National Park. On arrival, we will spend 2-3 hours trekking through the jungle following a narrow mountain trail which leads us to stunning hidden waterfall in the middle of lush jungle. Along the way before reaching the Pagagayaw Karen hill tribe village, we will pass through the farmland where you will see the coffee plantation, flowers farm and the beautiful rice terraces. Discover the Pagagayaw Karen hill tribe village and taste a cup of locally grown coffee then move on to Vachiratharn Waterfall, a 70 meters high thunderous waterfall. Enjoy the cool fresh air at the waterfall before we continue back to the ground. After that you will visit the beautiful architecture of Napamaytanidol Chedi and Phra Mahatat Napaphon Bhumisiri which are built to honor the 60th birthday of King Bhumipol and Queen Sirikit. Transfer back your hotel.

Cooking class & Mae Ping River Cruise

8:30 am - 2:00 pm: You will be picked up by the school team and join the Thai Farm Cooking for Thai cooking classes in English. It will be a great experience for you to learn the recipes and tips of this succulent Thai cuisine. - Visit a local market - Explaining and learning about herbs and ingredients at our organic farm - Cooking jasmine rice and sticky rice - Pound and make a curry paste from scratch - Choose and make one curry paste, one curry and one soup - Cook a noodle dish and sweet dessert according to the day Afternoon take two-hour boat trip along the Mae Ping River is an excellent way to spend an afternoon, you get to watch as the scenery along the river changes, you will also get to see many beautiful traditional teak houses as well as a lot of rural greenery along the wat. Transfer back to the hotel for your free time. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
