Explore Phnom Penh, Cambodia's captivating capital, from its majestic Royal Palace and poignant historical sites to its vibrant markets and diverse cuisine.
HALF DAY
In the morning, we start to visit some of the capital’s most impressive sites including the Silver Pagoda containing the Emerald Buddha statue, the Royal Palace, Wat Phnom, and National Museum. We completed the tour excursion by taking you back to your hotel.
FULL DAY
This morning, we visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the notorious Khmer Rouge Killing Fields. The exhibits at these sites are graphic and may cause distress among some visitors. In 1975 Tuol Svay Prey High School was taken over by Pol Pot’s security forces and turned into a prison known as Security Prison 21 (S-21). It soon became the largest such center of detention and torture in the country.
FULL DAY
In the morning we will take National Route No.4 to the west of Phnom Penh to visit the 700m Kirirom Mountain located in Kirirom National Park which covers an area of 35,000 hectares. The natural resort is decorated with many categories of pines imported from Japan plus orchid flowers scattered everywhere. Initially established as a holiday resort and tourist city in 1945, the area was named Kirirom, meaning "Mountain of joy", by King Norodom Sihanouk at the suggestion of a monk from Phnom Penh. Return to Phnom Penh in the late afternoon.
FULL DAY
In the morning, we will take National Route No.4 to the west of Phnom Penh to visit Chambok, a community-based ecotourism site, located at the border of Kirirom National Park in Kampong Speu Province. The site contains a beautiful 40-meter waterfall, which can be reached via a 3.8km nature trail. Also, the area serves as a model for best practices in community-based ecotourism in Cambodia. We will do mountain trekking to explore the fabulous forest landscape and high waterfall as well as a bat cave. On the path along the bamboo forest, we have the chance to watch the birds and if lucky to see other wildlife. In the rainy season, for those who like swimming, swimming is possible in the stream. Enjoy a picnic lunch.
